Overview
Sencha is by far the most popular tea in Japan and makes up the majority of local production. This high-quality tea is picked in spring and lightly steamed before rolling. The long, needle-shaped leaf looks somewhat fragile. After brewing, the fine structure of the leaf becomes clearly visible. The infusion is bright, deep olive green, and the tea in the cup is light green. This Sencha definitely has a milder taste compared to its competitors. With its pleasantly delicate notes and light sweetness, this tea is especially recommended for sensitive palates.
